December- another visit to ER, a trip to Transkei and a new year begins.
2022 certainly ended with a bang (and a pop!). It was a great year as far as my own Spiritual growth is concerned- of being humbled and realizing that I am not in control of everything. And through those hard times, I realised the importance of slowing down, taking a step back and realising how much I have to be thankful for. We went to sing Christmas carols at the frail care and it tugged on my heart strings to see how much they loved chatting to the kids. I'm not sure they all feel this way but I, personally can't imagine a life without little ones around. It just seems so unnatural. LJ got his grin on and said he will put on his best 'Church smile' to brighten their day. Aunty Daniela teaching Lils how to make Lasagna like a proper Italian! We have a very special friendship and they really are like family to us.
